Manitoba Association of Basketball Officials: Free Online Anti-Racism In Sport Training Set For June 12

The Anti-Racism in Sport Campaign is hosting a FREE Anti-Racism in Sport Virtual Training Session open to anyone involved in sports: coaches, administrators, officials, parents, athletes, teams, and board members.

When: Monday, June 12, 2023 from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Where: Zoom

Gather your friends in sport and take this three-hour interactive session that will include a workbook and cover the following topics:

An introduction to anti-racism literacy
An overview of the current state of racism and sport in Manitoba
Anti-Racism tools and practices for sport

The Manitoba Association of Basketball Officials (MABO) is an arm of Basketball Manitoba and a branch of the Canadian Basketball Officials Commission (CBOC). They make province-wide rulings and selections for provincial tournaments and are responsible for the growth, organization, and development of Manitoba basketball officials and, in partnership with Basketball Manitoba, offer a number of programs and services beneficial to basketball officiating in the province.
