The Manitoba Association of Basketball Officials today announced the names of the recipients of the Cyrus Lister Memorial Scholarships.
The Manitoba Association of Basketball Officials today announced the names of the recipients of the Cyrus Lister Memorial Scholarships. In honor of Cyrus Lister who lost his battle with cancer last year, the UFCW Canada's National Defense Fund has graciously donated $2000 in his name to the Manitoba Association of Basketball Officials and the development of referees in Manitoba. Cyrus was a long time member of MABO and the award honours his commitment and service. Cyrus was always concerned about helping younger officials develop and feel welcome in their referee associations. The NDF was established to help unionized workers through some difficult times (strikes and lockouts). The seven recipients of the scholarships include... $500.00 Scholarships
