Question: If a foul was called during the interval of play what is the penalty?

Answer: FIBA indicates that all fouls committed during intervals of play are 'technical fouls'. Therefore, the penalty is 2 shots plus possession to the offended team.

FYI, all team fouls committed in an interval of play shall be considered as being committed in the following period or extra period. These fouls are charged to the offender and count towards his/her five fouls for disqualification.
